Which extension methods do we offer?
Hand-tied extensions
Hand-tied extensions use a beaded-row foundation to secure small, hand-crafted wefts to your natural hair. They lie flat, feel light and are hard to detect, even in fine hair. Because the weight is spread evenly across the row, there is less stress on individual follicles. Your stylist chooses the number of rows, the weft density and the color blend to build the result you want.
Tape-in extensions
Tape-ins are thin, pre-taped wefts placed on either side of a small section of your hair so they sit flat against the scalp. They install faster than hand-tied extensions and reinstall appointments are usually under an hour, which makes them a good fit if you want natural length and volume with less time in the chair.

What happens from consultation to install?
- Complimentary consultation. We assess your hair's condition, texture and density, talk through the length and volume you want, explain hand-tied versus tape-in and match your color.
- Ordering and preparation. We order your Christian Michael hair in the right length, color and quantity, and custom-color the wefts before your install if needed.
- Installation. We build the foundation rows (hand-tied) or prepare the tape sections, attach each weft, then cut and blend the extensions into your own hair. A full hand-tied install typically takes two to three hours; tape-ins often take one to two.
- Styling and home care. We style your new hair and show you how to wash, brush, sleep with and style your extensions, and which products to use and avoid.
- Maintenance. Hand-tied extensions need a move-up every six to eight weeks; tape-ins need reinstallation on the same schedule. Each time, we remove the extensions, check your natural hair and reinstall them closer to the root.
